Challenge
The cosmetics market for mineral-based facial makeup is experiencing rapid growth. In response, a Virginia-based inventor identified the need for an elegant and functional case to organize and store various sized jars of mineral-based cosmetics.
Combined with the need for both aesthetics and practicality, the Mineral Case also represented a brand new product in a relatively new market. Successful design and quality was essential to gain the interest of discerning female customers.

Solution
SPARK's product design and engineering solution produced an eye-catching product featuring:
- Stylish and functional injection-molded plastic clam- shell case complementary to any counter top décor.
- Internal tray design has a wave-form that secures (upon closure) multiple cosmetic jars of varying sizes and types for safe storage and portability.
- Stackable, counter top storage with lid open or closed, plus a one-hand, slide-open latch.

Result
The Mineral Case design was promptly completed to the client's satisfaction and is now being successfully produced and sold. Initial market reaction is very receptive and sales are growing. As a reflection of SPARK's efforts, the inventor states on her website:
