SPARK provided complete systems design for the CO₂ cryo-therapy system. Working closely with BOLTgroup and GI Supply, an attractive, effective solution was developed.

GI Supply specializes in gastroenterology products. Their latest technology, the Polarwand, is a cryo-therapy system used to effectively treat gastrointestinal disease. GI Supply wanted their new surgical technology to achieve three objectives: generate visual interest, be easy to use and be affordable to manufacture.

To commercialize their technology, GI Supply's product design team, BOLTgroup, called on the product development services of SPARK to provide mechanical engineering, systems design and CAD model-ing. The collaboration between BOLTgroup and SPARK created an attractive and functional surgical device.

The Polarwand's large handle, casters and stable base make it easily relocated from storage areas to endoscopy suites throughout the hospital.

The Polarwand cryo-surgical is currently in FDA clinical trials.
