Challenge
The Attention Trainer technology was originally developed by NASA. Developed to train pilots, the Attention Trainer is a non-invasive learning exercise that trains attention-deficit children through EEG neuro-feedback to extend their attention span.
|
Solution
To develop the Attention Trainer technology for production:
| SPARK designed & engineered a lightweight, ergonomic
headset that aligns electrical sensors with a range of head
shapes to accurately record EEG activity.
| SPARK designed a compact, low footprint base station.
| SPARK designed the headset to nest seamlessly with the base
station to reduce desktop clutter.

Result
The original developer of the Attention Trainer, East 3, began production before filing for Chapter 11. The technology was then sold to New Life Technologies (SPARK's client), who in turn sold the intellectual property rights to Attention Builders (bio-feedback development firm) who produced 1,000 units. The Attention Trainer is now involved in the FDA approval process. |
